A Woman Who Discovered That Her Grand Father Is Her Father... See What Happened>>>

A woman spoke of the heartache she suffered after learning that her mother was defiled at gunpoint as a teenager by her own father.  Scoop reports that 38-year-old Jodi Cahill of Melbourne, Australia, received a shocking letter from her estranged mother, informing her of a secret that she had kept from the world for three decades.

In the heartbreaking letter, Cahill’s mother said that they shared the same father. The mother detailed the years of abuse she had suffered at the hands of her father, Raymond.  Cahill, who was raised by her divorced grandmother Juanita because her mother developed psychosis due to the abuse, took the news very hard.

The shock and disgust of the sudden discovery, led Cahill to attempt to commit suicide and then to suffer from anorexia.  She suddenly understood why her mother had such a hard time being around her as she was a constant reminded of the horrific abuse.

Cahill was in and out of the hospital due to her anorexia. She was fed from a tube for about four months. She finally made a full recovery after a few failed attempts.  Cahill said that she decided to share her story in an attempt to help other people suffering from anorexia.

I Used JUJU During My Playing Times - Taribo West

Former Super Eagles defence strongman, Taribo West made a shocking confession recently. He revealed that during his football career days he used juju to play on the field. The ex-footballer turned pastor said he had a manager from Senegal and his manager would take him to several native doctors in Senegal where they will cut his tongue, hands and legs and then cook it.

“I spend most of my time at home meditating. All I want to do is to keep spreading the gospel. In my own little way, I have been into evangelisation visiting places like Ughelli and within the Orile community, Ajegunle and so on. God has been kind during these visits to preach the gospel to people who are yet to receive Christ. We believe He will take us global very soon,” Taribo said. It will be recalled that Super Eagles attacker, Brown Ideye came out and advised African players to stop using juju to enhance their playing prowess.

“Your background experience counts. We turn to God to give us direction. I’m happy how far He has taken us. “The gospel is for the poor, rich and noble. Part of the gift God gave me is to reach out to the downtrodden. It is good if you can reach out to the downtrodden, preach the gospel to them and try to meet some of their needs through humanitarian services. I’m grateful to God for using me to spread the gospel across to these people,” he said.

On getting to Europe, Taribo would find himself entangled in another life of charms and superstitious beliefs. A move from Auxerre to Milan saw him playing for rivals AC and Inter — one of few players to achieve the feat — in a three-year stint in Italy. With a new-found life of affluence, the big defender paid huge sums of money for him to be supplied charms to win games, protect him from career-threatening injuries and also to be foretold the results of matches before they were played.

The 1998 UEFA Cup winner used to burn candles and hold a magical stone from Israel before games but he is bewildered that people are reluctant to publicly identify themselves with the practice, saying players and officials are deeply involved in the act.
Taribo said, “Of course yes (I was involved). I don’t know why people decline to talk about their involvement with charms. Football has to do with a lot of powers. When there are big events, you look at the stadium, you see people, fans invoking all kinds of things; magicians are there, voodooists are there.

“In my playing days, when I was ignorant, I used to get some mallams and babalawos (traditional doctors) to make charms for us, which we took to (national) camp. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. “In some clubs, before every game, the president or leader of the club will give you a lucky charm to play with. They will tell you to put it in your boots or socks and play. It’s their superstitious belief; that it can help them win matches.
“There are some coaches who are connected to African magicians and soothsayers from Senegal, Burkina Faso, Zaire or even Nigeria. These people are consulted to give these coaches results of games even before the matches are played.

“These people see strange things and they can tell you with their magic and charms, what the outcome of a match will be. People believe and use it. It works for those who believe in it. I saw it, I experienced it, I was with players that used it and I used it. So, why are people denying it? There are charms and rituals in football. It still exists.” When Patience Ikemefuna, an evangelist who lives in America paid Taribo a visit in Milan, it marked a new phase in the 1996 Olympic Games gold medallist’s life.

Ikemefuna was perplexed when she discovered that Taribo was deeply involved in occultism. There were charms in his wardrobe and other parts of his apartment. Even though her host resisted initially, she convinced him and after several praying sessions, Taribo gave his life to Christ. Today, even though they are not biologically related, he refers to Ikemefuna as “my sister.”

“God used her to change my life and ever since, my life has never been the same. I’m grateful to her. When I had an encounter with God and I became born again, I discovered that these powers were powerless. It was an avenue to collect money from us. There are lots of voodoo practices in football. If you are not with God, you have to be with the devil; with the devil they come with everything,” he added. What is the difference between life in Christ and one filled with charms?

“You can’t compare,” he said. “When I was living that ignorant life, I was in darkness. In the darkness, the devil can give you what God can also give you, but he will give you without joy and peace. Eventually, you will end up in sorrow. But when you experience the joy of Christ, it adds no sorrow. “The joy of the Lord is not only my strength; it gives me everything I need in life. The love of Christ comes with freedom, success, favour, expansion and a better life. When you have all these, you have everlasting peace. That is why I am comfortable today and I’m happy how God has seen me thus far.”

But being a pastor doesn’t mean he is free from temptations. In fact he realises that there are even tougher battles to fight as a cleric.
“Temptation is permanent; it’s there every hour, every day but if you begin to study the Bible, there are principles that God has laid down for us. If you follow this, the devil will not keep you.

“From my house to the bus stop, I may see a young girl not properly brought up, dressed half- Unclad walking on the streets. You will see temptation right there. But you have to pray for God’s grace to overcome the temptation.”

After a career that has seen him play football in Nigeria, France, Italy, England, Germany, Yugoslavia, UAE and Iran, Taribo has seen it all and aptly names his church a shelter. He added, “We told ourselves to fast and ask God for a name for the ministry. In the process, a sister came up and said a voice told her that we should call the ministry Shelter in The Storm Miracle Ministries. That’s how we got the name.

“During my journeys, God created a shelter for me and transferred me into that fold. There are lots of natural disasters everywhere in the world in these last days. There are crisis in Asia; there is terrorism and sectarian groups springing up. People are migrating from all over the world to Europe because of fear. In the midst of all these, God has created for everyone a shelter, where everything in your life will be restored again.”

Even though he is no longer actively involved in the game, which gave him the good life and saw him resident in some of the world’s biggest cities, the Super Eagles — with whom he played two World Cups and two Africa Cup of Nations — is still very dear to Pastor Taribo West. “We need to pray for the team and I have taken it as an assignment to pray for the team. The national team is part of my body, it’s my family.”

STOP! Read Why You Should Not Go Through Your Partner's Phone..

“Heyy stranger :)” glows dimly across my boyfriend’s locked iPhone, and I raise my eyebrows at him with a smirk.

Ah, the ghosts of girlfriends past. You got to love them.

“I swear, I have no idea what she wants. It’s literally been, like, two years since we talked or something,” he says, frowning at his phone.

“It’s that weird ex radar, you know? They know when you’re happy and have forgotten about them, and so they pop up again. It’s true. I heard LC say it on an episode of ‘The Hills,’” I explain, while his phone chimes with a second message.

He laughs and follows my gaze.

“Yeah, maybe,” he says. “You can look through my phone, if you want. You know the passcode.”

Now, I’d rather shoot myself in the foot than be the kind of woman who has to go through her boyfriend’s phone, but I would be lying if I said my fingers didn’t twitch with a little bit of curiosity.

The rise of social media, texting and email has made us more accountable for our actions than ever before. Everything we do is tracked by a little trail of digital breadcrumbs.

It would be too easy to fall down the virtual rabbit hole and spend hours pouring through texts, reading private Facebook messages and monitoring likes and favorites on Twitter and Instagram. The new software update for the iPhone even saves deleted pictures for a month after the fact.

(If the NSA is reading this, you should hire me. I can show you the world.)

To snoop, or not too snoop? It’s a question all Millennials have asked themselves.

Aside from the obvious (that snooping through someone else’s phone is a massive invasion of privacy and trust), what good can really come from snooping? Even if you see something incriminating, how do you bring it up without making yourself look like the bad guy?

“When I was going through your phone, I saw you texted your friend a week ago, saying I was acting needy. Then you told your mom I was always getting mad at you, and you favorited Sarah’s picture. Who is Sarah?”

As ridiculous as that sounds, conversations like that happen all the time.

All aboard the crazy train! A round-trip ticket is waiting for you!

I once had a friend who would wait until her boyfriend went to sleep, just so she could read his messages with his friends to find out what he said about her. Then, when she read something negative, she tortured herself with how she could bring it up without sounding crazy. (Spoiler alert: They broke up shortly after.)

Is it better to live in ignorance and maintain some dignity, or say screw it and snoop?

Let’s be honest: If you feel the need to snoop through your significant other’s phone, you probably shouldn’t be together in the first place. But if you do, and you find something incriminating, it just confirms you shouldn’t be together.

And if you don’t find anything, you have still violated someone’s privacy. Clearly, you two have serious trust issues.

Perhaps this urge to snoop is caused by our inability to have open conversations anymore. Maybe we would just rather retrace our significant other’s digital footprints, instead of saying, “Hey, something feels off between us. Is there something going on?”

So, if you find yourself reaching for a phone that isn’t yours to have a quick peek, I recommend you take a page from Christian Grey’s book, and stow your twitchy palm.

A Look Into Bayelsa Governorship Primaries Held Yesterday>>>>

Yesterday's APC governorship primaries in Bayelsa ended in deadlock after it was marred by violence and fraud when thugs invaded the venue.
Some aspirants as well as party officials including the Chairman of the Electoral Committee and Edo State governor Adams Oshiomole was held hostage and was later smuggled out of the venue by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) and soldiers.

Full Report Below...

The Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, venue of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary, was on Tuesday turned to a battle field as supporters of two leading governorship aspirants, Timi Alaibe and Timipre Sylva engaged themselves in violent clashes which left scores, including Alaibe, injured. "It was a pathetic sight to see a political event reduced to a combat", said an eye witness.
Trouble was said to have started when it was discovered by Alaibe and his supporters that accredited delegates from Brass, the LG of his arch-rival, Sylva, were far more than all delegates from the other LGs combined. It was in a bid to challenge what was seen as an anomaly by Alaibe and his supporters that a heated argument ensued resulting in a free- for- all between the opposing camps. In the process, Alaibe and many others sustained injuries.
To demonstrate his anger and disapproval of the electoral process, Alaibe was also said to have stormed out of the venue with his supporters in protest. Further investigation showed that many of those who participated in the fracas were ordinarily not supposed to attend the primary because they were not delegates but came as organized party thugs and militants on both sides to drum support for their respective choice of aspirants.

The bloody violence in which all manner of weapons were freely used, including broken bottles, cutlasses, knives and charms could have led to loss of lives except for the quick intervention of the police and other law enforcement agencies on ground. Even as the police used tear gas to repel elements seen as hired thugs and militants, a number of the victims loyal to Alaibe complained bitterly that they were stabbed by Sylva’s men.
All efforts by the Adams Oshiomhole committee responsible for the conduct of the primary election to save the day proved abortive as Alaibe, in company of his close associates, left the venue in obvious protest of the situation. Many of his supporters were also seen joining him in their mass exit from the Samson Siasia stadium venue.

Alaibe was said to be getting ready to address a press conference on the issue later today. Meanwhile, findings also indicated that some of the governorship aspirants have stepped down for the former governor, Timipre Sylva. As at the time of filing this report, Sylva was leading in the number of votes cast and likely to emerge winner.

Rotimi Amaechi sues PDP, demands N300 billion

The immediate past governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi, has filed a suit at an Abuja High court against the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, its chairman, Felix Obuah, and two others, over allegations of foreign accounts ownership and embezzlement against him.

The governor is seeking from the party and its officials N300 billion for general damages done to him and defamation of his character, reputation and person. The PDP had in a statement in August alleged that Mr. Amaechi stole $757million (N80 billion) of Rivers State public funds and stashed them away in an account in his name in Bancorp Bank in Minnesota, United States of America.

It also alleged that the former governor embezzled millions of dollars of Rivers State money and stashed the money in other foreign accounts in his name, including in a bank in Switzerland.
The party said Mr. Amaechi’s foreign accounts were revealed and blown open by Christiane Amanpour of America’s CNN and alleged that Bancorp Bank wrote President Muhammadu Buhari intimating him that part of the funds was to be used to purchase a residence for the former governor in the US and that it (Bancorp Bank) planned to return the stolen funds to Nigeria.

In the suit, Mr. Amaechi stated that each of the said publications by the PDP and its officials “are untrue, false, motivated by ill-will and without any foundations in truth whatsoever.” He said that they “made the said libellous publications after the party failed the March 28 presidential election and with a view to rubbishing him in the eyes of right thinking members of the society and the persons to whom the said libellous publications have been made.”

In his statement of claims in the suit, Mr. Amaechi said he did not steal the state’s funds neither did he stash them away in Bancorp Bank in the US or in a Swiss bank. According to him, the US bank did not at any time reveal that he embezzled or misappropriated or connived in the embezzlement and misappropriation of monies meant for Rivers State people and stashed them away in his name.
“The Bancorp Bank, Minnesota, United States did not write and did not communicate President Muhammadu Buhari over any said sum of $757 million dollars allegedly looted by the Plaintiff (Amaechi) that is kept with it and in Switzerland since no such money was ever looted by the Plaintiff (Amaechi),” he said.

“There exists no letter which the Defendants (PDP, Felix Obuah and two others) had seen written to President Muhammadu Buhari, by Bancorp Bank, Minnesota, United States confirming the existence, lodgment or transfer with the said Bancorp Bank and in Switzerland of the said sum in the name of the Plaintiff (Amaechi) since no such monies were ever looted by the Plaintiff.

“The Plaintiff (Amaechi) did not steal monies belonging to Rivers State and did not lodge them in any private foreign accounts. The Plaintiff did not admit that he lodged and domiciled in his name in an account in Bancorp Bank, Minnesota, United States any monies as alleged by the Defendants. The Plaintiff did not lodge any sum of $757 million or N80billion in the said bank account belonging to him and none was revealed or blown open by Christiane Amanpour of CNN.”
The former governor further stated that ever since the said invidious, insidious and vitriolic malicious libellous publications by the PDP and Mr. Obuah to the general public, he had been inundated, bombarded and confronted by several persons who expressed lack of respect, loss of faith in him and who no longer regard him as trustworthy and now view him as a common criminal.

He said he had been confronted by persons who disrespected him because of the false accusations, even though he denied committing the several heinous offences which the PDP and its chairman falsely and maliciously accused him of committing. He said, “By the several said publications the Plaintiff (Amaechi) has been seriously injured in his credit, character and reputation and has been brought into public scandal, odium, contempt and his person, character and integrity lowered in the estimation of right thinking members of the society; the said publications are false and most disparaging of the person of the Plaintiff.

“The Defendants (PDP, Felix Obuah and two others) have widely further circulated the said malicious publications to the general public in the internet; these wide and general circulations of the said malicious publications have exposed the person of the Plaintiff (Amaechi) to very heavy and irredeemable ridicule, public odium, contempt and disparagement in the eyes of right thinking and reasonable members of the society including the persons already pleaded and other persons yet unknown and who will also be called upon to testify in this proceedings.
“The Defendants (PDP, Felix Obuah and two others) have continued with the republication, recirculation and widespread republishing and distribution of the said libelous publications to the general public through the internet leading to deluge of inquiries from the general public and well wishers who have severally confronted the Plaintiff (Amaechi) with the very wild allegations of the Defendants and to which Plaintiff denied any looting or ownership of any looted funds or looting of public funds of Rivers State.”

Mr. Amaechi also stated that he served Rivers State with distinction, initiated and completed numerous public projects and undertook other public infrastructure projects. He said he had never been convicted by any court with either stealing or embezzlement of public funds anywhere in the state or Nigeria or anywhere in the world.

Another building Collapses In Lagos

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has said it has yet to determine the number of casualties in Tuesday building collapse in Lekki area of the state. The General Manager of the agency, Michael Akindele, said this in an interview at the scene of the incident.

The collapsed building was located at 37 Agungi/Ajiran Road, Osapa London, Lekki in Eti-Osa Local Government Area. “As l speak, l cannot ascertain whether there is anybody trapped, dead or alive, until when we conclude the search and rescue mission. “For now, we are still on rescue mission to ensure that there is no life under the debris.

“Until we get to the zero level before we can make any further pronouncement,’’ he said. He, however, said that the agency would conduct investigation to determine the quality of materials used to construct the building. “As at August 11, the three buildings under construction here were marked by the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) and the contractors served appropriately to stop construction.

“This collapse is out of defiance; however, necessary investigations will be done by appropriate agency after which it will act appropriately. “LASEMA is here on search and rescue mission,’’ he said. Mr. Akindele explained that before officials of the agency arrived at the scene, two people had already been rescued alive.
He said the agency was informed that the construction workers were already out before the collapse.

He said his officials would do their best to ensure anybody who was trapped in the building was rescued. A witness at the scene said that four people were still trapped while two persons were rescued before the arrival of emergency officials. At the scene of the rescue operation were Lagos State Fire Service, Nigerian Police, LASBCA, LASEMA, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps and Federal Road Safety Corps. Tinubu Bars Pro-Saraki Senator From APC Caucus Meetings

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has barred the lawmaker representing Ondo-Central senatorial district, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, from attending South-West caucus meetings, our correspondent has learnt. It was learnt that the senator was ostracised for allegedly working against the interest of the party’s South-West leadership and for taking sides with Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Alasoadura was also among the senators that followed Saraki to the Code of Conduct Tribunal in solidarity on Tuesday. A reliable source within the party told our correspondent that Alasoadura had been sidelined from all APC South-West meetings for his disloyalty to Tinubu. The source said:

“Alasoadura was a Commissioner for Finance under the late Dr. Olusegun Agagu for over five years. He later defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the Action Congress of Nigeria. Tinubu accepted him and appointed him the Director-General of the Rotimi Akeredolu governorship campaign organisation in 2013.

“Alasoadura was not even supposed to have emerged the senatorial candidate of the APC in the last election but the party favoured him. However, when he got to the Senate, he returned to his PDP family and started working against the party. He also supported Saraki against the interest of the party.

“When Tinubu convened a South-West meeting in Abuja during the height of the National Assembly crisis, Alasoadura came. However, Tinubu walked him out of the meeting and told his orderly to ensure that the senator was escorted off the premises.

“Tinubu also warned senators present to ensure that sensitive issues were not discussed in the presence of Alasoadura as he was an enemy within.”
Two days after the faceoff with Tinubu, however, the Ondo State senator issued a statement wherein he pledged his loyalty to the party and denied supporting Saraki. Alasoadura said he was only working in the best interest of his constituents.

An APC leader, who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, however, said that the fact that Alasoadura accompanied Saraki to the Code of Conduct Tribunal in solidarity on Tuesday, confirmed their suspicions. He said the party would ensure that he remained irrelevant in the APC.

Groom Caught Raping Wife’s Chief Bridesmaid, THIS Happened

A 29-year-old groom was arrested and jailed for seven years after he was convicted for raping a guest in his house as his bride slept next door.

The guest was surprisingly his wife’s chief bridesmaid and best friend and the experience still haunts her which made her speak up.

Daniel Howard, who was serving in the Royal Army Medical Corps denied the rape initially, claiming that she used his sex toy which was why there was forensic evidence but his claims were dismissed by the jury at Teesside crown court UK, and convicted him within 90 minutes with overwhelming evidence.

Howard got married to April Broadgate at a lavish ceremony in August 2015.

Mirror UK reports that the friendship between Broadgate and her chief bridesmaid crashed after the crime was revealed.

Just three weeks before his trial, the new wife, who reportedly refused to believe her husband had carried out the assault, went ahead with her wedding.

The victim whose identity was withheld said: “I couldn’t go anywhere alone. My mum had to be in the bathroom with me when she came around and washed my hair for me as I was too exhausted to do it myself.

“I still have anxiety attacks where I’ll break down in tears and ring a friend crying for no reason whatsoever. This will always be part of my life that I have to learn to deal with.

“I don’t think I will ever fully recover. I’ve been on sleeping pills prescribed by the doctor for a number of months. I constantly think about what happened and often have flashbacks to that night.

“It sounds silly but I’m frightened someone will come and get me again, and no-one will know. I had a good job, a strong relationship, a bright future, a plan for a house. I just feel damaged and broken.”

House warns Reps not to interfere in Senate crisis

Against the backdrop of happenings in the upper chamber under the leadership of Senate President Bukola Saraki, the House of Representatives has called for restraint from its members. Chairman House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Malam Sani Zorro, made this known to journalists in Kano at the weekend.

He explained that, “Concerning the unhealthy development in the upper chamber, I want assure you that the leadership of the House of Representatives has already initiated a troubleshooting exercise to ensure the development does not spill over into the House.” Zorro appealed that, “As the spokesman of the House of Representatives, I am appealing to our members, let us leave the initiative to the leadership of the House to deploy conflict resolution mechanism that it has always used, to intervene quietly for the settlement of the dispute in the upper chamber.” Assuring that this was not without prejudice to the legal tussle that is before the judiciary.

Speaking on his personal opinion about the matter, Zorro said, “My own personal opinion is that this matter will best be resolved if the party asserts itself, if the party intervenes decisively. It is in the best position to help to facilitate a political resolution of this matter.” He further charged that it was the party that has produced the Senate President. And it is the party that has produced majority members of the Senate, stressing that the comment was not an attempt to intervene in the internal affairs of the upper chamber.

“We have full respect for them. We have full confidence in their ability also to resolve the stalemate, which is partly political in nature. As the Chamber of Wisdom and as a chamber made up of experienced Nigerian leaders. We are therefore looking forward to an end to this,” he stated. Referring that what is obtained at the Senate chamber was not the first time similar things happened.

Man Has 5-Days Erection After Taking Man-Power (Viagra)

A drunk man identified as Daniel Medforth, 36, of Withernsea, East Yorks, swallowed an overdose of sex enhancement drug Viagra and ended up with an erection that lasted for whole five days with pain. Medforth, a plasterer by trade and a married father of two, told U.K. tabloid The Sun that he took 35 doses of Viagra in an hour after drinking with his friends for two days."

“My mate brought them downstairs, I just said I’d take one for a laugh and one led to two to three, et cetera,” Medforth told The Daily Beast."

"But after pill number 35, laughter gave way to concern. After his vision turned green—a Viagra side effect known as cyanopsia—and he experienced what he described to The Sun as “a massive erection that would not go away,” Medforth went home to his wife, who promptly redirected him to the hospital where he belonged."

And there he stayed there for the next 36 hours—one hour for every year of his life that he almost threw away. He told The Daily Beast that his wife was “a little mad” at him, which, one would hope, is an understatement."

After his discharge, Medforth was put on bed rest but his penis refused to rest with him. His total erection time? Five days."

"Overdosing on Viagra can cause seizures, hallucinations, nerve atrophy, unconsciousness, fainting spells, painful engorgement of veins, brain haemorrhages, or even death."

Senate President Bukola Saraki In Court Over Corruption Charges

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has issued a statement describing the 13-count charge slammed on him by the Code of Conduct Bureau as false and frivolous. In a statement via his media office, Mr. Saraki, said the charges were calculated to rubbish him and that he was ready to meet the Code of Conduct Bureau in court to assert his innocence.

“We therefore conclude that this is not an anti corruption driven case and cannot be part of the moves aimed at fighting corruption,” the senate president said. “It is simply a pure malicious and politically motivated prosecution aimed at undermining the person and office of the Senate President. “… Those behind this plot will definitely meet Dr. Saraki in court as this case, which is based on outright fabrication and mischief, will not and cannot stand the test of justice.”

Read full statement below.
The Code of Conduct Bureau had slammed a 13-count charge of corruption on the President of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Saraki.
In charge number ABT/01/15, dated September 11 and filed before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Mr. Saraki is accused of offences ranging from anticipatory declaration of assets to making false declaration of assets in forms he filed before the Code of Conduct Bureau while he was governor of Kwara state. According to the charges, exclusively obtained by PREMIUM TIMES Wednesday morning, the Senate President is also accused of failing to declare some assets he acquired while in office as governor.

Among other offences, including allegedly acquiring assets beyond his legitimate earnings, Mr. Saraki is also accused of operating foreign accounts while being a public officer – governor and senator. The offences, the charge said, violated sections of the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended. Mr. Saraki is also said to have breached Section 2 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act and punishable under paragraph 9 of the said Fifth Schedule of the Constitution.
The charges were prepared by M.S. Hassan, a deputy director in the office of the Attorney General of the Federation.

Below is Mr. Saraki’s full statement.
The attention of Dr. Bukola Saraki, President of the Senate, has been drawn to a charge sheet being widely circulated on the online media, upon which he is expected to be tried at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT). It should be noted that at the time of writing this statement (10.00am on September 16, 2015), Dr. Saraki has not been served the court process. However, we recognise that as a public officer, he owes members of the public explanation on the allegations contained in the charge sheet.

We therefore state as follows:
1. That all the claims contained in the charge sheet are false, incorrect and untrue.
2. That Dr. Saraki has consistently declared his assets as required by law at every point before resuming any political office and that of 2015 is not an exception. It is surprising that the alleged charges is now referring his asset declaration made in 2003 while in office as Governor of Kwara State to formulate their charges. They therefore ignored the recent declaration for which they last week issued an acknowledgement.
3. That we believe that the Code of Conduct Bureau following their processes in which after a declaration is submitted to the bureau they carried out verification of the assets and ascertained the claims made, should not wait till 12 years later to be pointing out an alleged inconsistencies in a document submitted to it in 2003. This same Dr. Saraki submitted asset declaration form in 2007, 2011 and 2015. It is unexplainable that the case in question is now based on the 2003 declaration.
4. This is why we are of the opinion that present effort is a desperate move initiated due to external influence and interference.
5. It should also be noted that contrary to the procedure indicated in the law setting up the CCB, the bureau never wrote to Dr. Saraki to complain of any inconsistency in his asset declaration forms.
6. It should also be noted that Dr. Saraki as Governor of Kwara State never operated a foreign account.
7. That some of the issues contained in the charge sheet are subjects of earlier decided and on-going Court cases. We therefore believe those behind filing of these charges are engaging in forum-shopping.
8. It should be noted that we do not know on whose authority these charges are filed when the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act clearly indicate that any prosecution must be authorised by an Attorney General and we know the nation last had an AG in May 2015. This is another clear indication that the CCT is acting under influence from outside its domain and therefore ready to bend the rules to achieve this obnoxious objective
9. We therefore conclude that this is not an anti corruption driven case and cannot be part of the moves aimed at fighting corruption. It is simply a pure malicious and politically motivated prosecution aimed at undermining the person and office of the Senate President.
10. That those behind this plot will definitely meet Dr. Saraki in court as this case which is based on outright fabrication and mischief will not and cannot stand the test of justice.
11. it should be noted that throughout his career as a public official democratically elected to high public service, Dr Saraki has always held himself, to global standards of transparency and accountability, to a far higher standard of diligence, disclosure, and compliance, than required or even requested by Nigeria’s Code Of Conduct protocols. Thus, Dr Saraki has always, lawfully and accountably, declared his assets, both directly owned, and in which he may derive any historical and on-going degree of beneficial interest.
12. In view of the above, Senator Saraki hereby affirms his belief in the justice system and that when the proposed case comes to the tribunal, he will diligently state his case. He is also ready to co-operate with the Tribunal and other lawful government agencies in the bid to genuinely fight corruption and eliminate impunity in our public affairs.
13. We also note that anytime you try to fight corruption or insist that the right thing should be done, the system will always come after you. This is another case of desperation to fight Dr. Saraki because of his recent stance on national issues.

Good-news: Navy Says Boko Haram Never to Operate Freely Anymore. Read How>>>

The Nigerian Air Force on Wednesday said that Boko Haram terrorists would no longer be allowed to move freely to slaughter citizens or capture military units. The Chief of Air Staff, Sadique Abubakar, gave the assurance in Abuja while delivering his remark at a two-day seminar on Standards and Evaluation, organised by NAF.

The theme of the seminar was: “The Imperative of Standards and Evaluation in the Nigerian Air Force’’. He said NAF remains totally committed to global best practices even in the present war against insurgency and will strive to provide the enabling environment for national development. “So far, the air operations in the North-East are creating the enabling environment for the army to move unhindered in the conduct of their operation.

“We have substantially degraded the capacity of the terrorists to move freely in Toyota Hilux vehicles ravaging villages and murdering innocent citizens. “God willing, they will never move freely again to slaughter our citizens or capture our military units. “We will continue to do our best to meet our statutory responsibility of defending the territorial integrity of the nation, acting singly or in concert with other security agencies,” he said.

Mr. Abubakar said that NAF regarded safety as a core function and as such it would strive to develop, implement, maintain and constantly review its safety strategies to ensure that operations were conducted with acceptable risk level. He said that the Standard and Evaluation Branch was one of the most important branches in the NAF. “Because once you have a sound standard and evaluation branch, people would operate according to standard.

“This will prevent us from running into problems of safety, because people will be operating according to the laid down regulations of safety, especially at times such as now when you have scarcity of resources. “We cannot afford to lose anything, whether our pilot or equipment,” he said. The CAS said that the NAF would promote collaboration with Nigerian Universities and research agencies with a view to giving additional boost to its efforts at research and development.

“We have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 15 Nigerian universities; right now as I speak to you we are working on an issue with Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
“We are trying to invite these universities for us to see how we can partner with them, especially as regards maintenance of our helicopters and other machines.
“We cannot continue to rely on foreign vendors. Within the Nigerian universities, we have people that are competent; all we need to do is to get them, partner with them and solve our problems.”
On the recent NAF Helicopter crash in Kaduna, Abubakar said, “I don’t want to pre-empt the report we have set up a board to look at what really happened with regards to the crash in Kaduna. “But what I can tell you is that the standard and evaluation branch is working round the clock to ensure that we operate within those standards and very soon, we will have a clear picture of what really happened,” he said.

The CAS, however, urged the standard and evaluation branch to sensitise all those involve, on how to properly maintain the equipment, personnel and assets entrusted to them in order to derive maximum value from them.

Hilarious!!! 5 Policies You Should Obey In Lagos Danfo Bus

Lagos is a comedy zone half the time and moving from one part of town to the other in a public bus can leave you with interesting experiences that keep you reeling with laughter for the most part of the journey.

If you lack a sense of humor, many situations you encounter can cause you to flip a switch but once you realize that public vehicles are boarded by people from various backgrounds, orientations, and mindsets, you should feel better.

1. Wooing a woman
Yes, you can meet your life partner anywhere. For this reason, men may want to take advantage of the opportunity of wooing a pretty girl especially when they know that the chances for seeing her again are pretty slim.

However, thing can turn awry really quick as not all ladies like the idea of being wooed in a public bus or on the high street of Ikeja.

To avoid embarrassments, suppress your urge to woo the lady till she’s ready to get off the bus and then make your move. If it’s a hit or miss, the memories are all yours alone.

2. Dozing off on the shoulders of a fellow passengers.
Sleeping in a public bus is not an unusual situation. However, what many Nigerians can not stand is when you turn the shoulders of a fellow passenger to a pillow.

It’s a little weird to have a stranger rub-off on you and if you can’t stand it, neither can they.

Plus it puts you at the mercy of pickpocket’s and you run the risk of being driven past your bus stop.

3. Not paying for your transport fare
Some people are fond of trying to avoid paying transport fares. Other persons go as far as saying a little prayer hoping the conductor will forget his money.
In Lagos, you have got a large dose of faith, this prayer may not work and it often leads to bitter fights between the conductor and passengers….you do not want tied in a fist-cuff with a bus conductor.

4. Offering the driver ‘driving lessons’
The average driver thinks of himself as king of the road. No matter their flaws, they rarely accept caution or correction from anyone.

Therefore, any passenger who attempts to caution the driver may receive a vitriolic reaction from him.

In classic comical Eko fashion, he may threaten to abdicate the driving sit for the passenger…in a moving vehicle, you certainly do not want him to take his threat seriously.

5. Intervene when arrested
Members of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (Lastma) or the police may be overzealous and aggressive but this is as a result of the habitual recklessness of drivers who disobey the State’s driving rules. When arrested, the drivers feel remorseful while pleading with passengers to apologise on their behalf.

Passengers do not need to intervene especially when the driver is at fault. To avoid getting caught in a free for all verbal onslaught, whenever the driver gets arrested, quietly disembark from the vehicle and get another one heading your way.

NYSC Prospective Candidate Commits Suicide In Aba

By Ugochukwu Alaribe

ABA—A graduate of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, waiting for the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, call up, has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in his family house.

Vanguard gathered that the man whose name is yet to be ascertained at press time, allegedly killed himself on Sunday after attending a mass service in one of the Catholic churches in the area.

A resident of Umuobe village, Ovom, Obingwa council area, where the incident took place, told Vanguard that the deceased had a good job, wondering why he had to take his life.

“He returned from church on Sunday and nobody suspected that such a thing was going to happen. It was around 5pm that the bad news broke.

The mother and the dad we learnt are all dead.

‘’I think he is the breadwinner of the family. It is very unfortunate. We learnt that he will be among the people that will be going for NYSC soon because he schooled in Abia poly,” he said.

A cross section of sympathizers who thronged the area, told Vanguard that the incident was a sacrilege which made it compulsory for a ritual to be performed before his body could be touched and buried.

“So, it was on Monday that they (villagers) after performing the rituals took away his corpse from the room where it was lying,” they said.
When contacted, the Abia State Police Commissioner, CP Habila Joshak, confirmed the incident.

He Paid His Friend To Pregnant His Wife Because He Was Impotent. But His Friend Didn't Know He Was Impotent Too

FIDELIS got married late – in his early 40s. Two years into his marriage, he could no longer get an erection. “I’d had problems with my libido in the past”, he confessed, “and by the time I met Lisa, my wife, making love was very infrequent. She was only 23 and I thought that she would be fertile enough to get pregnant with the infrequent time, I could have sex.
But she didn’t. It wasn’t really her fault as my semen was often watery. I won’t bore you with the details of efforts I made to have a child. I have resigned myself to the reality of my impotence.

“Unfortunately, I have a young wife who has a strong sex drive and always has a need for penetrative sex to achieve full satisfaction. So, my impotence has come as a big disappointment to her. As a result, we have both confided in Ade, a very close and trustworthy friend whom we have known for many years. He has four children but is currently separated from his wife.

After much discussion, he has offered to help. He is well-endowed and my wife and I are keen to accept his offer, as we believe this would solve our problems. I’m all for it as I feel that we could all get something from it. He lives alone as the wife has custody of their. kids, and he needs sex too … “

As Fidelis rattled on excitedly, I gaped at him in disbelief. Of course, we’ve heard of men who passed on pregnancies they were responsible for to their mistresses’ unsuspecting husbands. But to knowingly look for a stand-in lover to help pregnate your wife is pushing desperation to the limit. I told Fidelis that my gut reaction was that it was going to be a total disaster. What works as a fantasy often backfires.

A sex expert I discussed it with was equally appalled. “Fidelis has to be made to realise that while we all like to pretend we can separate sex and love, our genitals and our hearts do inhabit the same body,” she explained. “Many weird and wonderful things happen when a couple start having sex. Powerful and intoxicating hormones transfer through skin-to-skin contact.

Sex connects and bonds people. I wonder if Fidelis will still find it quite so exciting when his wife suddenly packs her bag, ready to move in with her husband’s ‘well-endowed’ friend. He hasn’t told you how things are going to work. Does he intend to watch while his wife is being serviced by his enthusiastic friend in the bedroom or would he watch the telly as if nothing is going on?”

“Man sues neighbour he paid to get his wife pregnant but failed after 72 attempts,” is a recent news item that shows the stupidity of Fidelis action. The story- reads: “In Stuttgart, Germany, a court judge must decide on a case of honourable intentions in a situation where a man hired his neighbour to get his wife pregnant. It seems that Demetrius Soupolos, 29, said his former beauty queen wife, Traute, wanted a child badly, but Demetrius was told by a doctor that he was sterile. So Soupolos after calming his wife’s protest, hired his neighbour Frank Maus, 34, to impregnate her. Since Maus was already married and the father of two children plus looked very much like Soupolos to boot, the plan seemed good. Soupolos paid Maus $2,500 dollars and for three evenings a week for the next six months, Maus tried desperately, a total of 72 different times, to impregnate Traute.

“When his own wife objected, he explained,” I don’t like this any more than you do, I’m simply doing it for the money. Try- and understand’. When Traute failed to get pregnant after six months however, Soupolos was not understanding and insisted that Maus have a medical examination, which he did. The doctor’s announcement that Maus was also sterile shocked every-one except his wife, who was forced to confess that Maus was not the real father of their children.

“Now Soupolos is suing Maus for breach of contract in an effort to get his money back, but Maus refused to give it up because he said he did not guarantee conception, but only that he would give an honest effort!”

Dear Parents... Say NO To Female Circumcision!!

By Yetunde Arebi

My mind raced back to one of my many conversations with my dear friend Bella as I listened to this guy’s argument on why his five year old daughter must be circumcised. His poor wife, Aduni, had asked me to help talk to him. Had she known that this would be his decision, she probably would have kept her discovery to herself. That she had caught their little girl playing with her clitoris.

She had panicked, thinking that their innocent angel had been corrupted and might now grow into a common slut, if something was not done quickly. But while she had been lost for what to do, she had least expected that circumcision would be her husband’s solution. Aduni said she had been raised in the village and circumcised, so she had experienced the pains and discomfort associated with female circumcision and is now living with its aftermaths. She was not sure if she wanted her beautiful princess to go through the same or live her life the way she was being forced to.

My friend, Bella has a similar challenge. You’ll often hear her describe herself as an incomplete woman or freak whenever the issue of sex comes up in our discussions. A very cosmopolitan extrovert and successful Lawyer, Bella exudes confidence and accomplishment and it is quick to notice that she is on top of her game. Only those very close to her get to know her other side of her life. And though she has never showed me physically, she’d given a very graphic picture of what she looks like down below, several times. This she said was her main reason for walking out of her marriage after birthing her only child. It was pointless enduring the sex when she felt no pleasure.

For many women, the inability to experience full sexual pleasure or achieve orgasm during sexual intercourse has remained an elusive mirage, leaving most who are not even circumcised, confused with many unanswered questions. Studies have shown that men are likely to orgasm 90-98 percent of the time they have sex. In fact, this is often the way a woman knows that the game is over. Unfortunately, same cannot be said about the woman and not a few reasons are responsible for this.

Several major research works on human sexuality record that only about 25 percent of women climax or experience intense sexual pleasures during sex with their partner, while 40–50% have either complained about sexual dissatisfaction or experienced difficulty becoming sexually aroused at some point in their lives. These figures are significantly higher in African societies and cultures where Female Genital Mutilations (FMG) as well as other cultural practices are predominant and act as inhibitors.

Orgasm can be simply described as the release of built up sexual tension in both men and women during a sexual encounter. The inability to have orgasm after ample sexual stimulation is called anorgasmia or ejaculatory anhedonia. For many women, not being able to climax can be caused by everything from unrealistic expectations, to awful sex, to discomfort with their bodies, discomfort with their partners or discomfort with sex itself.

This is to the exclusion of medical conditions, sexual abuse, rape and their aftermath traumas. In fact, biologists and researchers for many years have been trying with little success to figure out the whole concept of the elusiveness or even why females orgasm at all, since their reproduction does not depend on it unlike the male. However, what they have successfully been able to figure out is how women can achieve orgasm. And every woman can learn to, if they really want.

To know if you have ever experienced the big “O”, or will ever actually do, you need to understand what it is in the first instance. After all, if you are travelling to a new destination, you will not know if you have arrived there without an address or map guiding you to the location. The truth is that most women who have taken time to study their bodies, especially the sex organs and how they work, find it easier to enjoy their sexual relationship. In the same way, a man who is knowledgeable about the female body will understand and know how to set it in correct motion.

Sigmund Freud was the first to suggest that there were two types of female orgasm, the Clitoral and the Vaginal orgasms. He went on to describe the clitoral orgasm as a juvenile act of pleasure, to be experienced while in one’s youth. Freud said once a woman matures she will go on to experience the vaginal orgasm as a result of stimulation through penetrative sex or intercourse. It would appear that many men are fixated with this theory.

A friend once told me something similar to this position. According to her, she has only experienced orgasm three times in all of her 19 years relationship with her husband, which includes three years of courtship. One night during one of her few outbursts on her lack of sexual fulfilment in the early days, her husband had categorically told her that he found it weird that he had to bring her to climax with his fingers. A full grown woman according to him, must learn to orgasm through sexual intercourse. She must figure out how to adjust. The subject died a natural death that night and has never been discussed again. She has been coping ever since. Hmm!

However, sex researcher, Alfred Kinsey will later refute Freud’s claim in his own study which according to him revealed that there is only one type of female orgasm. To him, an orgasm is an orgasm so long as it takes place inside or outside of the female genital, no matter which part of her body was being stimulated. Most sexologists and researchers over the years have corroborated Kinsey’s findings, insisting that the area located in the front wall of the vagina identified as the Grafenberg spot, or otherwise known as the G-spot is actually a bundle of nerves, gland or series of glands from the clitoris which extend into the wall of the vagina. Therefore, the vaginal orgasm can also be achieved when combined with stimulation of the clitoris, invariably still making the clitoris the central or focal point of the female orgasm. Are you still wondering why many circumcised women may find it difficult to enjoy sex or indeed, may never experience an orgasm?

The importance of the clitoris to female orgasm or sexual satisfaction is very crucial. The clitoris may be described as the most important part of the female sexual pleasure. It is to the woman, what the penis is to the man. The clitoris or clit is a small bud-like formation located slightly above the opening to the vagina and at the top of the inner labia. Though its size and shape differs from woman to woman, it is generally believed to be between 1/8 to 3/8 of an inch in size. The clitoris is highly sensitive and full of nerve endings which become engorged when a woman is aroused.
Though many of the clitoral nerve endings are subterranean, or below the surface, the visible part is just the tip of the iceberg as, even “in hiding,” the 6,000 to 8,000 sensory nerve endings are a mega source of incredible pleasure for many women. This is in contrast to the vaginal walls which contains relatively few nerve endings and only the lower third of it has enough nerve endings to feel stimulation from a penis, finger, sex toy, or other penetrative object. It is therefore logical that intense sexual stimulation, pleasure and orgasm from vaginal-only penetration are pretty much unlikely to happen. This is why a vast majority of women will need clitoral stimulation to enjoy sex or achieve orgasm since vagina penetration on its own is not always enough. So guys, sweating and tiring yourselves out by humping and thrusting endlessly at your partner does not mean you are giving her the most pleasurable experience of a lifetime. You need to get more creative, versatile and patient with us. And even more so, if you discover that your partner is missing that vital part of her sex organ, then don’t be fooled by those moans, name callings and “ohmigods”, they probably are just ways to hurry you up to get it over with. Believe me, most women are experts in this instance!

One question women who are confused about how they feel while having sex often ask is, how they will know if they have achieved orgasm. According to sex researchers, William H. Masters and Virginia E. Johnson in their seminal work titled Human Sexuality, orgasms are a combination of two things, a build up of muscle tension and the release of same. When a woman gets incredibly turned on, she builds up muscle tension around her pelvis and her clitoris and vagina becomes engorged with blood just like the male penis does.

At the same time, the vagina wall also starts to secrete beads of lubrication which eventually gets bigger and flow together. During an orgasm, all these tension technically known as Myotonia is released and a flood of hormones flows into the body causing intensely pleasurable feelings. Though centred around the genitals, pleasure can be felt all over the body depending on the individual.
Her heart rate, blood pressure and breathing increases, muscles contract throughout her body, especially in the vagina, uterus, rectum, and pelvic floor. Upon orgasm, all the tension is released and a pleasurable, relaxed feeling takes over. This is probably why most men will fall asleep after sex. And the women? If you have felt anything close to this, then you are damn lucky! And if otherwise, don’t be sad, as I said earlier, it is achievable, you only need to work harder at it. Yes, work harder!

There is no doubt that the female clitoris will forever remain the centre of her sexual gravity and it is important that this as well as other features of her sexual organ, often disposed of during female circumcision must be preserved in order for her to live a pleasurable and fulfilled life. However, difficulty or inability to enjoy a fulfilling sexually pleasurable life is perhaps the least of the problems associated with female genital mutilation.

Besides the immediate consequences which include pain, bleeding, infection, injury to genital tissues, shock and even death, it results in a silent ongoing torture throughout the life of the women. Depending on the extent of the cut, complications during childbirth, urinary infections, genital sores and cysts are also challenges she might be subjected to. Is there any reason why anyone should live a life of pain and sorrow based on the ill judgement of others? Is there any reason why anyone should live a life of pain and inadequacy because of the ill judgement of others, shrouded under the guise of culture and tradition?

The excuse that circumcised women are more chaste than uncircumcised ones, if true at all, is not enough reason to mutilate any girl. Sexual discipline is as much psychological as it is physical. It is everybody’s duty to help the girl child achieve her full potential as a woman and live a total life. So, dear daddy, please don’t.
